Xenics infrared thermal cameras help to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases. |
|
|
Infrared cameras detect the heat emitted from the skin which produces a temperature map of a person in real time. Totally harmless and non intrusive, just the way a normal camera records a video clip. The result is a coloured image where the colours represent temperature. Temperatures higher than a certain threshold can be highlighted.
To detect a disease in an early stage, the Xenics’ Raven-384 infrared camera offers a solution that is simple, reliable and stable at key places such as airports, ports, bus terminals and railway stations. The flow of pedestrians will not be influenced thanks to the cameras abilbity for a high definition image at a high frame rate. Temperature measurements can be accurately monitored with differences as small as 0.05°C. In addition Xenics eliminates any stability problem that microbolometer cameras suffer by using the reference method. You just need to put a precisely controlled temperature reference in the field of view to provide reliable screening.
The high definition image quality permits accurate fever detection for both individuals and crowds.
You can easily mount the Raven-384 on a tripod and control the infrared camera from a PC over the standard Ethernet interface for temporary screening. At places with long queues such as passport or customs control points, where you can screen people on an individual basis, you can also have a fixed installation. The examination takes no longer than a fraction of a second..
