April 2010 NEW ‘Chip-on-Board’ technology producing super bright illumination
StockerYale continues to lead the way with the latest state-of-the-art LED ‘chip-on-board’ method. This approach to LED module fabrication yields an unbroken line of semiconductor light source, resulting in an extremely high level of uniformity. The combination of this superior uniformity and very high intensity results in crystal clear linescan images.

Stockeryale having recently launched the COBRA Slim linescan Illumination, dubbed chip-on-board reflective array (COBRA™), this technology gives high brightness illumination ideal for linescan and web inspection. The COBRA Linescan Illumination outperforms, halogen and fluorescent line lighting, while offering all of the many advantages of LEDs including long lifetime, controllability and increased reliability.

Their LOTUS LED lighting also provides an alternative solution to fluorescent illumination used in a wide variety of machine vision applications. The LOTUS has a unique design which utilises this latest LED technology combined with an integrated optical system to produce high performance line lights. The flexible design makes the LOTUS compatible with both back-lighting and front-lighting web applications, providing a broad and uniform beam which is consistent across webs as wide as 5 meters..

MULTIPIX EVENTS: OUR LATEST PRODUCT LAUNCH.........
DID YOU SEE US AT MACH?
If you didn't make it to the MACH exhibition this year you would have missed our 3D robot demonstration. Combining a DENSO robot, Basler Scout Megapixel camera and MVTec's HALCON 9.0 imaging software our robot successfully picked and placed car parts all week. Demonstrating the reliability and robust nature of HALCON 9.0 and it's powerful 3D vision tools.

3D vision is opening doors to applications that simply would not have been possible before. Later this year MVTec will enhance 3D features even further with the launch of HALCON 10 but for now if you are looking to learn more about the exciting possibilities of 3D vision and how it can benefit your application do not hesitate to contact our sales team.
